Road Trip in Tuscany + 7 Tips to Get the Most Out Of Any Road Trip

road_trip_por_la_toscana

Hey! This time I will tell you a little bit about the Road Trip I did in Tuscany with some friends about four months ago. As you know I was studying in Florence last semester and among the thousand trips I made this was one of the most interesting.

The truth is that the plan came out of nowhere, we were talking one day in the night and it occurred to us that it was a good idea to rent a car and go to two small towns that are about 2-3 hours from Florence. At that time we started to investigate where to rent the car but as it was already a night at the end we decided that we would solve it the next day. We stayed to see the next morning at Santa Maria Novella train station, hoping that we could rent the car there and although there was no agency there, they told us that if we walked a few streets we would find Hertz and other options . All the best-known agencies were super-full and they did not have any Fiat available (which was the car we wanted to take parents), so we ended up renting it at a local agency. In the video below I tell you about how we failed in some things 🙁 and why now we owe € 300, and more shortly I will share 7 tips that will help them to enjoy even more any road trip they make abroad.

7 TIPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF ANY ROAD TRIP

1. Do your research and some planning

Out of nowhere trips are often the best, but it is always good to know about the place you are visiting, how you are going to get there, prices, different options, etc.

2. Create a schedule

This will help you optimize your time and prevent you from missing the best spots.

3. Read about traffic rules

Sounds obvious, you trust me: you don’t want to get fined 🙁

4. Have your tools in hand

You know: Google Maps, etc.

5. Read the small letters

When renting the car, so you don’t get surprised.

6. Create the best playlist ever

A road trip without music?

7. Toma fotos y videos

There are some of us that absolutely love taking photos and others who really don’t and prefer living the moment. However, snapping a couple won’t harm anyone and will help you remember what an incredible experience you had.
